The Nature Reserve of La Mata offers some very enjoyable walks.

Torrevieja has a good promenade area which is particularly attractive at night.  Plenty of Restaurants and Bars, also some good shops.

Golfers are well catered for with six courses less than an hour´s drive, and others not much further including the world famous La Manga resort.
 

Murcia, Cartagena and Alicante offer plenty to see and do and are not far away.

Throughout the summer months the various fiestas celebrated in nearby towns are well worth considering.  They offer spectaculars like the “Moors and Christian” processions.  Not to be missed.
